Apocalypse Tapestry

The Château d'Angers has the world's biggest old tapestry, depicting your favourite scenes from the Apocalypse. I hope it's flame-proof* :-). This picture shows half the length on one wall, and then it goes around the corner of the climate-controlled room for the same distance again.

While the château shop does not sell Apocalypse-motif scarves (only cushion covers, should you be lounging around watching Jerry Springer when the first trumpet blasts), it did have a very nice book of Tapisseries by Dom Robert.

* and not edible by beasts with six-heads

Angers is twin-town to Wigan in the UK, where I spent a good bit of time settling into the UK mid-year.
