Brain found but more needed

I have not been having many successes with the GRO certificates that I've ordered lately to delve into the family of my great grandfather Griffith Williams' siblings. Three new certificates were on the doorstep this morning, and two were mismatches on his sisters Anne Jane and Jane Hannah, but the third confirmed my strongest hunch yet.

Last month I found that sister Maria Sydney/Sidnie had married a Benjamin Lincoln Brain. I thought he may have come from Gloucestershire, but a little more research showed he descended from several generations of Surrey residents. Looking forward, I found only one candidate for a child of Benjamin and Maria, an Ellis Alfred Sullivan Brain, born in Tonbridge Sussex in 1920. Since Maria's father is Ellis, that made him a very strong candidate. The arrival of today's certificate confirms his parentage. Ellis was my 1st cousin, twice removed.

I know that Ellis died in Sussex in 2000, but as yet have no hints of any marriage or descendants. If the latter exist, then they would most likely know of other cousins.
