I have a backlog of photos etc to upload, but I'm waiting for a new internet connection (most recently scheduled for mid next week). I've had to take Telstra to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman again after they lost my initial connection request (two weeks lost), and then 3 days in a row where they failed to meet the appointments they set up. Apparently the largest telco in the company can't handle web-forms (they lose the data) and their staff are not equipped with or trained in the use of telephones to communicate with customers. They should take a leaf out of the Dutch phonebook and rename themselves Lemon.
Today's outing to Manly: a stroll along the Eastern Esplanade where the ferries come in (although that turned out to be a zone of dogs-not-wanted-by-order-of-management), the Corso and then down Marine Parade to Fairy Bower beach. Before we reached the end, a sudden icy squall came in, leaving us huddled under a palm tree for 20 minutes.
There's a few factors inhibiting posts right now. First off I terminated my Optus broadband account after 8 months of exasperating 'service' but have to wait indefinitely for Telstra to reconnect me. (This post is being made from my phone.) Secondly my employer made my position redundant last week, so while I have more time on my hands, much of it has been consumed with thoughts about that state of affairs.
Still there's nothing to stop me from giving 20kg Munson his first bath.
I'm an Aussie who spent an amazing 30 months roaming around Europe with Bondi, a very large Alaskan Malamute dog. All up we took in 35 countries on 3 continents, making new friends and seeing first hand how different people, cities and cultures respond to our canine companions.
I followed this up with a 3 year adventure with Munson, a young malamute, together learning about life on a farm in the southwest of France.
We've recently returned to Sydney with Gustav for more fun under the Australian sun.
