We went out for dinner with Peter to Cafe Cadiz in the Medina-Sidonia main square. Before 10pm it’s only the extranjeros like us looking for dinner, as Spaniards don’t eat till very late. Peter had a great oxtail, Gustav and I went for a wild-boar stew – but it was the wine that was the hit of the night, a local smooth but peppery red called Cortijo de Jara. Dear winemakers please read this and send me a crate.
Out in the square, the young Asidonense have been running around working up an appetite. Many of them have met Munson before and come running over to say hello and introduce their friends to him. He in turn has a great deal to say, probably something like “don’t run up behind me unless you’re bringing me food”.
I need a much faster camera to deal with kids and dog in this low light.
